Huawei P9 With Quad HD Display Comming Soon

HUAWEI smartphone company has hinted on the release of their new flagship device tag the Huawei P9. The company is quietly seeking domination and raising its brand profile through sponsorship as well as releasing some decent phones like the Nexus 6P, Huawei Mate S with a pressure sensitive display and more recently boosting its phablet line with the Mate 8. However, its conventional flagship hasn’t been its best phone. The P8 was good, but blighted by software woes. Now, Could the Huawei P9 be the Chinese company’s crowning moment? That question will be answered after the yet to be released new device hits the market

With MWC passing by, Huawei seems set to launch the P9 at a dedicated event coming 6th April. This leak appears to have some truth to it, with Huawei sending out invites for an event on the 6th April simply saying “Change the way you see the world”. At the top of the save the date notice is #OO, most likely nod to the dual rear camera of the P9 that’s leaked several times. This invitation gives the date of 6th April, a Tuesday, and although the location is obscured, we can still see that the event will indeed be held in London.

Some rumours have suggested that the company will equip the Huawei P9 with a Quad HD display, 2560 x 1440 pixels with a 5.2-inch AMOLED panel however. The P9 Lite is said to be 5-inches, the P9 Max 6.8 inches. Huawei is no stranger to Quad HD displays, as the Nexus 6P shows, so again, for a new flagship this is entirely plausible. The internal hardware might house a Kirin 950 chipset. That’s the same as the Mate 8 features, offering octa-core 64-bit power. It’s entirely likely that it will appear in the P9 too. Leaked benchmarks have suggested as much, although some rumours have also suggested the Kirin 955 chip will be present. Initially reported as having 4GB of RAM, recent reports have suggested it might have as much as 6GB.
